TURNSTONE ESTATES SELLS SAFFRON WALDEN SITE TO OWNER OCCUPIER

Turnstone Estates has sold a 1.3-acre development site on Ashdon Road, Saffron Walden to tool and plant hire company GR8 who intends to build out 20,500 sq ft of commercial space of which about 7,000 sqft will be for its own occupation.

Turnstone obtained planning consent for the new buildings which GR8expect to be completed by the end of the year.

The sale represents the latest stage of Turnstone’s development of a 32-acre site on the north-eastern edge of Saffron Walden.

Working in partnership with Ridgeons as landowner, Turnstone replaced its former building with a new 64,000 sq ft builders’ merchants unit for the company which opened in 2017.

The demolition of the original Ridgeons unit enabled  the development of 167 dwellings on the part of the site which was subsequently purchased by Bloor Homes after Turnstone achieved planning consent.
