Dan Hildyard has been hired by leading US advisory firm The McDevitt Company to head up its UK retail business and drive forward expansion plans.
UK retail expert Hildyard is a former executive managing director of Harper Dennis Hobbs, where he spent 18 years leading the UK agency business, before leaving in 2022 to run his own eponymous company.
The McDevitt Company was founded in 1997 by Wade McDevitt and has offices across the US, Amsterdam, and London. It is a full-service real estate firm, with a focus on the retail sector, and whose clients include Urban Outfitters.
The business is looking to build on what is already a solid foundation in the UK and has plans to grow with the opening of a new office in London.
Dan Hildyard, who has assisted many international brands on their UK expansion most recently working with Reserved and Barbour, said: “Given McDevitt’s ambitions within the UK retail sector, I look forward to helping to fine-tune its expansion plans as we seek out new opportunities across London, and the wider UK market.”
