Gillingham Bell International has been appointed by two global real estate heavyweights as international retail and hospitality consultants and leasing advisors for the Kranzler Eck Building – Copula: a transformative, high-profile redevelopment in the beating heart of Berlin.
Set across 110,000 sq ft and four spectacular levels, Copula will reimagine a historic department store into a bold new hub for world-class retail, gastronomy, and social experiences. Positioned on the legendary Kurfürstendamm—Berlin’s most famous boulevard—Copula sits amid an A-list lineup of neighbours including Apple, H&M, Hugo Boss, COS and the iconic Bikini Berlin.
The vision: a destination food hall, next-generation competitive socialising concepts, and a show-stopping rooftop bar and restaurant with sweeping views across Berlin’s vibrant City West. Anchored in the city’s premier shopping and dining quarter, moments from the Berlin Zoo and Tiergarten Park, the project will tap into a booming visitor market with over 12 million tourists in 2024 alone.
James Bell, Co-Owner of Gillingham Bell International, said:
“Berlin is on the rise as one of Europe’s most compelling global cities. We’ve delivered landmark projects here before—most notably the 1.2 million sq ft Das Center at Potsdamer Platz for Oxford Properties and Norges Bank IM—and we’re seeing unprecedented interest from international operators. Partnering with the Joint Owners on a project of this calibre is an exciting opportunity to shape the city’s next great destination.”
