Augur Group secures planning consent for Pegasus Court Leisure Park, Kettering

October 29, 2025

Augur Group (Augur), a UK property investment and development company, has secured planning consent from North Northamptonshire Council to reposition Pegasus Court Leisure Park in Kettering into a prime open storage site. The scheme spans five acres and is capable of accommodating a range of requirements from one acre upwards.

Augur acquired the site in January 2024. The consent follows the recent closure of the Odeon Cinema and the Hungry Horse, operated by Spirit, at the park. KFC continues to trade on-site, having recently completed the freehold purchase of its unit, ensuring its continued operation.

Located at the gateway to the UK’s Golden Triangle, Pegasus Court presents a strategic opportunity for large-scale industrial outdoor storage in a region of growing importance as a logistics and commercial hub. The site, situated directly off Junction 9 of the A14, offers excellent connectivity to the M1, M6, and A1(M) corridors. It sits adjacent to Tritax’s Symmetry Park, which is already home to Iron Mountain and is undergoing significant expansion, including a 365,000 sq ft unit for Greggs and a 965,000 sq ft facility for Amazon currently under construction.

Open storage plots will be available to let from Q1 2026 through sole letting agents Carter Jonas.

Simon Mann, Chief Executive of Augur Group, commented: “We’re pleased to have received planning consent from North Northamptonshire Council for the redevelopment of Pegasus Court Leisure Park. This marks an important step in revitalising the site to better serve the needs of the local community.

“The open storage market continues to evolve, supporting a diverse range of both local and national businesses. Our plans to repurpose the area for this use will return it to productive operation, create new employment opportunities, and ensure the site remains secure and well-maintained. We’re committed to working closely with the council and local stakeholders to deliver a scheme that supports the future growth and resilience of Kettering’s economy, and we look forward to welcoming our first storage tenants early next year.”
